I’m afraid we can’t book wedding receptions at Yorkshire Spa Retreat, as our spaces are open to our lodge guests. However, we can always try to offer a segregated area within our restaurant, The Dome for special occasions.

Absolutely! Yorkshire Spa Retreat is open throughout the festive season, offering Christmas parties, festive dining and New Year celebrations, as well as relaxing lodge escapes.
Our spa facilities remain open across the season, giving guests the chance to unwind in our wild swim pond and heated hydrotherapy pool — perfect for winter relaxation.

As a small boutique spa, we’re unable to accommodate large group bookings or hen parties. Our changing facilities and spa spaces are designed to maintain a calm, relaxed atmosphere, and for this reason we can welcome groups of up to 6 guests only.
This helps us ensure every guest enjoys a peaceful, unhurried spa experience. If you’re planning a smaller celebration or a relaxed spa day with close friends, we’d be happy to help — just get in touch with our team.
Spa access is not included with our self-catering lodge stays, however lodge guests receive 50% off spa day rates to enjoy our facilities.
Lodge guests also receive 2 hours of complimentary spa access when booking a 60-minute treatment. We recommend pre-booking spa access using the link in your booking confirmation to ensure availability or call us on 01439 413102. Spa treatments can be added at an extra cost.
We do offer 1-night stays in The Hideaway accommodation only, Available Monday to Thursday only.
All other accomodations, including our Luxury Lodges and Shepherd’s Hut offer a minimum of 2-night stays.
Absolutely. If your dog is well behaved, and fully toilet trained, they’re more than welcome to join us, but you must book a dog-friendly lodge. We do ask that you try and keep them off the furniture though, and we have a maximum allowance of two dogs per lodge.
From January 2024 onwards, our lodge holidays do not include a complimentary three-hour spa access per guest. This is priced at 50% of our day rate. In your booking confirmation, you’ll be given the link to book you spa access slot at a discounted rate as a lodge guest. You can also choose to add additional spa treatments to your booking for an additional fee.
Your lodge comes fully equipped with the comforts of a luxury self-catering break, ensuring your stay exceeds expectations.
Additionally, to keep you connected, we’ve installed fiber optic cable to every pitch for those who wish to stay in touch with the world.
Absolutely. You can arrange for a grocery delivery to meet you at your lodge. Ahead of booking your grocery delivery, we do advise you to check your lodge number to enable the delivery driver to find your accommodation – you may check your lodge number calling reception on 01439 413102. Most major supermarkets, including Asda, Sainsbury’s and Tesco, will deliver groceries to the Yorkshire Spa Retreat. Please do ensure that you are on park to receive your delivery.
Absolutely. We can arrange local transport to and from all of the amazing restaurants, villages, towns and the stunning landscape we have surrounding us. We highly recommend pre-booking taxi’s prior to your stay due to our rural location.
We’re only 45 minutes away from York Train Station. But we’re also not far from Malton and Thirsk Station. Upon booking, simply get in touch and we can arrange a taxi or chauffeur to collect you from the station.

At Yorkshire Spa Retreat we are committed to ensuring that your belongings are handled with care. We kindly request that you check your belongings thoroughly before departing, and in the event that you do leave something behind, please do not hesitate to reach out to us as soon as possible.
Not at all. We welcome in guests who are staying with us, celebrating, stopping off before a hike, so please do wear what you feel comfortable in.
You’re very welcome to simply drop in though we do get incredibly busy and so we recommend booking in advance over the telephone to avoid disappointment. For bookings of 6 people or more advance booking is necessary. You can contact us on 01439 413102.
The entire restaurant can’t be accessed for private use, but we do have some private hire options available. Simply email us at info@yorkshire-spa-retreat.co.uk and we can discuss your event in more detail.
Absolutely. Dogs are welcome in The Dome Restaurant & Bar, but they must be well-behaved and on a leash.
Absolutely. We want your little ones to be comfortable and will have a children’s menu ready for you on arrival
We’d love for you to bring a celebratory cake for your special dining occasion at The Dome. However, we kindly ask that no outside drinks are brought in. Our team are happy to accommodate any special requests, where possible, to make your celebration truly memorable. We are a cashless business and so all payments can be made with either debit or credit cards. We accept all major credit cards, except AMEX.

Our membership has different price options…
No, your complimentary three-hour spa pass is issued monthly and must be used within that month. Passes cannot be rolled over or accumulated. Please note this pass is only valid on a certain membership type.
Membership operates via a QR code system using the Technogym App. Each time you visit, you’ll generate a one-time code to gain secure access to the gym.
